Heated (blow) winscreen fault

Hello all, I jumped into my car tonight after a run and instintly steamed up the windscreen. When i pressed the Heated windscreen button the fans went from low to full speed, but the air only came out of the far right and far left forward facing adjustable vents. I tried setting the air to go up to the screen by the up arrow setting but again air only came out of the front 2 outer vents. I guess some air should come out of these two demist the front windows but 100% ofthe air passed through them.

At no point while trying all of the settings on the Climate Control has any air come out of the large vent at the back of the dash or the two vents at the far sides ontop of the dash (the non adjustable ones).

Has any one experianced this? Is there eany help guides on the web?

It's the motor that adjust the position of the demist flap.

£90 or so for a new one, there's a thread recently where someone stripped their's down and regreased it, but I can't find it off hand.

It's a common problem on all A4's, it can be anything from a stuck linkage, to the motor, to the climate control unit.....

I should know I've had all 3 happen to me.....
