Hi,
I have a 2004 A4 1.8t Quattro 190Bhp version, it has developed a squealing noise when the engine is not under load, i thought it might be the belt slipping but it doesn't seem happen at the right times to be the belt, however the noise is coming from that area (front passenger side of engine). It happens once the engine is up to temp. If i rev it there is a small squek as throttle is released and as the car settles back to an idle the squealing noise starts, it doesn't happen while the engine is revving. The car still pulls well and no smoke from the exhaust so i don't think its anything to do with the turbo, won't rule it out just yet though.
Any ideas??
Cheers
