03 plate A4 cab 2.5 TDI gearbox. Which ones will/won't fit?

Hi Guys,

I have an A4 2.5 TDI cab on an 03 plate. Its having some gearbox issues and I'm looking to source a used gearbox for it.

I've found one for sale from an 05 2.5TDI that has the code 'EYJ', however, I've no idea if this will fit.

Can anyone give me any pointers (engine numbers etc) on finding out if this box is suitable to replace the existing unit?

1st id contact Audi Parts Dept and get your gear box code as there are different codes for different power BHP's engines, stick the wrong one in and you could end up with an out of sync speed reading.
