Problems with Fan when i start the car first time please help

Good Morning/Afternoon or Good Evening,

I have just bought a Audi A4 TDi B6 Sport and i started the car this morning first time and the Fan Switched and then went off when i re started the car. Also minor little noise coming from front wheel like hand brake sqeek.

which fan ? internal external?

if it was the external one it could be just firing up as the air con is on then it settles back down! ive never really noticed mine to be honest!
