Iâm getting quite a bit of white smoke when starting the car after it's been left overnight and Iâd REALLY appreciate a few pointers from those more knowledgeable than me or anyone that's had the same problems. The smoke is white with a blue tinge and only last for around 10-15 seconds. Thereâs no smoke at all after that and it was MOTâd recently with a smoke test result of 0.32.
Condition wise - Itâs pulling fine. The last two tanks have been 34.5mpg, itâs normally 37mpg but Iâve not done as much motorway driving recently. Itâs losing no oil or coolant. Iâve noticed the right bank of injectors are a bit sooty, compared to the left bank anyway.
So Iâve trawled the forum and it seems problems could be a bunch of things......coolant temp sensor (temp gauge is behaving normally), Injector problem/seals, fuel return pipes leaking. Any ideas on which of these is more likely, ruling any of them out or suggesting other possible faults??
Thanks in advance. H
