ASV not working properly since EGR clean

I'm guessing i've got something in it as when I turn the engine of it shudders before switching off. It never had a prob beore i removed and cleaned the EGR. when I operate the ASV manually there's a squelching noise. is there a way to open it and have a look?

I would be looking carefully at what you have taken off, especially the pipes, have you connected them correctly and not trapped any? , when you turn off the engine there should be vacuum at the pipe going to the shut off valve actuator, this can be easily checked.
