Suspension creaking noises front end.......

Hi all,

My car 2003 A4 2.5 TDI V6 is creaking from the front both sides i think.

I am thinking of fitting new control arm kit, 4x lower wishbone suspension arms, 4x upper wishbone suspension arms, 2x anti-roll bar drop links and 2x track rod ends.

Also i am led to think the lower ball joint is 16mm NOT 20mm???

Anyone know good place to buy a set???

Anybody fitted these before???

Has anybody had the same issue and solved it????

hi is it a creak or a clonk ?
as i had a clonk sound when breaking and reversing ie 1st to rev on my A4 QS
it was the SUBFRAME opening up along the front edge , along the edge where its crimped over.
i crimped then welded along front edge of subframe and no more noise
i changed all arms and droplinks got them from TPS oem cost was about 850
i think if i remember right bottom arms are 18mm
when fitting all lower arms u have to set the suspension in UNLADEN state before tightening all bushes ,
this is measurement from centre of wheel to bottom of wheel arch mine was 350 mm
, then b4 tightening bottom arms ,
place trolley jack under bottom hub and jack up until measurement from centre of wheel to bottom of arch is reached

be carefull when jacking under hub as my QS was lifted up off 3 out of 4 axle stands to achive measurement
renew ALL nylock nuts when changing arms , i also changed pins
o i nearly forgot TOP PIN THAT HOLD TOP ARMS IN WILL BE A PAIN TO REMOVE U NEED SOME HEAT FROM BOTTLES BUT NOT TO MUCH AS THEYRE STEEL PINS IN ALLOY LEGS WHICH MEANS THEY WILL BE OXIDIZED !! and to much heat will mean leg melts into a pile on floor
