Hi just wondering if anyone can help me with this fault code. I had a new Parrot fitted today, and since then my airbag light has been on. The fitter came back and tried to turn the light off but everytime it just came straight back on. When the Parrot was fitted I was watching and know that he didn't go anywhere near the passenger side door so I am sure it is just a coincidence.

The fault code info that was thrown up was:

01218 - Side Airbag Ignitor, Passenger Side (N200)
001 - Upper Limit Exceeded - MIL ON

Can anyone help me as to what this may be or how to cure it?

Many thanks in advance.

DTC 01218 explained

The "N200" airbag unit is the airbag in the passenger seat bolster - there is a yellow 3-pin connector under the seat - this has more than likely become disconnected - reconnect and then reset the airbag DTC with VCDS/VAG-COM.
If it is connected then it may be a faulty airbag unit in the seat.

Thanks for that, I will have a look under the seat in daylight tomorrow; just hope its only the connector thats come adrift.
