Morning all, does anybody know if the fabric or leather part can be removed from the lid itself, i have a leather one with a broken catch, i also have a new fabric one and want to make one good one from the pair,

yes i had 1 retrimmed a few weeks back

I also need to know how to do this, I want to re-trim my arm rest as it's still fabric.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, this was the most relevant centre arm rest discussion I could find.

I've snapped the catch on my arm rest lid, wondered what my options are?

Can the lid be removed? I've had a good look but other than prying at the hinge I don't see how else it could be done? Any tips before I break it even more?

Thanks.

The lid can be removed, it is quite a PITA

All you need to do is lever the arms towards the centre one at a time and it should pop out, when I did mine I constantly felt like they were gonna snap but they didnt so dont worry

Last time i checked a new black leather one from Audi was £80~

People have repaired them in the past with a magnetic door catch, unless you move your armrest into a vertical position a lot it's rarely a problem.
