Hi,

Purchased a 2002 Audi A4 1.8T Sport a few month ago.

The only main issue with the car was the drivers seat could not be adjusted as the cable to the release handle had snapped.

I managed to move the seat to the correct position for myself by using a long screw driver underneath the seat and have driven it like this since.

I now need to purchase a cable and attempt to install it as my girlfriend has sold her car and will be driving mine soon.

Any idea what part number I would need and has anyone attempted to install these before? Does the full seat need to come out?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers
Jay

mine went too, got some wire (high tensile stainless steel cable) and cripit it at one end and feed it through the handel cripit it at the end were it comes out by the door

I've looked on Etka but I'm not too sure what cable you mean. To operate the back rest? Or to slide the seat fore and aft?

Sorry should have made it clearer.

Yep its the cable to slide the seat backwards and forwards

Cheers Guys.. Will ring audi with the part no and get a price..

In case its a daft price for just a cable.. Where did you get the wire (high tensile stainless steel cable) from?

B&Q?
