Couple of Niggles on my 2004 S4

I have a few issues on my 2004 S4 Avant, and i was wondering if any advice before i just throw myself at replacement parts.

1st , Today the wipers decided to work in Slow motion on any speed, its really quite something to watch, but obviously not good for if it rains, am i guessing i need new motors?

2nd , Just when i need it the most, turned on the Aircon today, which was working yesterday and viola, nothing but hot air!!

Any help appreciated please, or advice.

1. It won't be the motor but mechanism the seals fail and they rust up.

2. Check with vag-com, but if it worked yesterday then you could have lost gas, or the motor that directs air flow as failed.

Wipers - invest in a large can of 3in1 penetrating oil - 500mg...take off the wipers if you can (otherwise just take off the retaining nuts) - then start wasting the stuff all over the wiper mechanism located under the windscreen surround and also on or around the retaining nut threads for the wiper arms!
You'll probably find its the driving side one thats got a bit seized and is slowing everything down....it wont be the motor.
Might take a few hrs over a few days but it will free up if you're patient!
If not then spend £100+ on a new mechanism.
