A4 cab 3.0 petrol-when does the cambelt need doing?

I've been looking for an A4 quattro cabriolet 3.0 for my mum & found a nice 04 plate one with 74k & full Audi service history. No mention of if the cambelt has been done though. Not sure if it is a V6 but I'm guessing it is.

I wanted to go up tomorrow & have a look at it, check out the history & maybe do a deal etc. Problem is my mum in haste has called the chap, done a deal & gave a deposit to secure the car.

I have a feeling the cambelt is due at 80k, can anybody who knows for sure confirm this?

yes it is a v6 and i would say cambelt should be done at approx 70k or 5 years and a waterpump at same time as a precaution

regardless of mileage (could be anything from every 40k to every 80k), it probably needs doing every 5years, so probably would have been done 2 years ago (will be recorded with the garage that did the work).

So if it's been serviced at Audi, you would expect it to have been done then. I'll call them before we are due to go up & find out.
