B6 and B7 RNS-e cage

Just a quick question, is the RNS-e cage the same on the B7 and B6 A4's?
e.g. if I buy a complete unit which includes the sat nav and climate control unit still in place will it fit in the B6 dash with no modifications?

yes
you will have to cut the center consol tho
but thats still easy

to clarify waht bez said: you'll have to trim the edge off each side of the aircon unit, but I think they actually have a groove along the back where you need to trim anyway.... it's a "mod", but very straight forward.

no i didnt mean the cc unit as hes geting that included
i ment the big center consol you have to trim the back when the cc unit slides in

if its a b7 climite control unit it won't plug and play in a b6, i think the rear demister wiring is different.

i think they can be rewired to work but never tried it myself.

triming down the sides of your old unit would be the only option if you don't want to rewire.
