CB and offset?

Looking at some alloys on ebay, what centre bore size do i need and whats the best offset? The ones i am looking have CB of 73.1 and offset of 42?

The bore is 57.1 and a typical oem offset of 43-45 - most of us would agree that if you aim for 35 you wont be far wrong.

So i would need adaptors for the CB then?

Not adaptors but spigots. These make sure the wheel is properly centred which is obviously important. what PCD are the wheels you are looking at? Because i dont know of 5x100 or 5x112 wheels with centre bore of 73.1, this obviously doesnt mean tere isnt any, I just dont know what!!! If the PCD is different to the car then you will need adaptors..........

I'm looking at some different ones now, they are a5 s line alloys, doesn't say what the CB is though just that the offset is 47
