AVJ 1.8T Running hot

Do these engines run hot? My dash gauge reads a solid 90c and doesnt budge but even after a short run (12miles) i can barely touch the intake manifold as it is so hot.

They run extremely hot and warm up very quickly. I only have to do 6 miles and it's too hot to do anything with. In my opinion it's nothing to worry about.

I'm sure if it is, someone will post up about it.

Strange design for a turbo engine. Cooler intake temps = more power. Thanks for the replies though
