at what age and mileage have you changed your clutch (and flywheel)?

i know it's all dependent on type of use the car has had.

but at what age and mileage?

or is your a high mileage muncher and going strong?

whats a good budget to set aside for this job?

mine is a 2.5tdi fwd and its done 96k and its a 03 and is now due a clutch and flywheel

iv had to change than around 25k then iv had them last 170k

My original clutch and DMF was done at 163k. The previous owner did tow caravans in it but other than that the car had a very gentle life. Costs will depend on the car.....Quattro's are more expensive apparently

I have a o3 plate 1.9tdi quattro sport 130 , clutch just started to slip at 86 k, just replaced clutch kit , dual mass still ok, did the job myself, not too bad to do,clutch cost me around £90 from tps, trade price. Good idea to get some quotes for yours, what is it by the way??

my 2.5 Quattro TDI was changed at 180k miles

My 2.5TDi clutch was changed as a precaution at 128k when the engine was out, DMF was fine apparently.

my 2.5tdi q is on 122k and the dmf is every now and then juddering so not to far off a new one

Mine was done at 85k, clutch, DMF, alternator, starter motor and battery (and timing chains) Its a 2003 S4 - should be ok now for another 100k...
