Help - Boot will not open

I am seem to be having a bit of bad luck with my car...

Now the boot will not open, well I say it wont, it will but you have to use the key? When you use the level you hear it attempting to open but almost sounds too weak - if you know what I mean...

Anyone any ideas what the problem may be?

I have the same issue on mine. Yesterday I stripped the boot inner and it's the solenoid that's gone.

£36 from the stealers.

I had the same issue with my convertibles boot, the solenoid is real easy to change

Thanks guys I've had a look behind the boot lining, is it the plastic part near the inner boot handle?

Do you have the part number handy too please?

It's working again!! Strange but I'll keep an eye on it
