Do you have any fault codes? I would have the car scanned first to see if anything shows up! It might give you somewhere to start investigating!

There can be multiple reasons for your starting issue!

As point_audi says, could be a multitude of things - really needs to be scanned by someone with VCDS to enable us to help further. Where abouts are you located?

I've recently had a similar issue though - turned out to be the CrankSensor, once replaced all was fine.

Funny I had the same issue with the Crank Sensor, Dilligaf-UK! I was driving home from work one evening and when I slowed down at a roundabout the whole car shut down and would not re-start. I had the car scanned using VCDS and it was my Crank Sensor! Once changed everything was fine!

Awkward sensor to get at!

cheers guys ! i will go to my vw/audi specialists tomorrow to hav a scan and see if any thing shows up . will keep yous updated !
