sidelights take ages to turn off??

after running a ebay set of hids for 9 month one of the ballasts packed in so i bought a set from hid direct which leads on to todays messing about..

when i ordered the hid direct kit i ordered some 5 led sidelights from ebay which have been fine up until today when i swapped the hid bulbs for the ones from the first kit as the hid direct bulbs were poo and dangerous! so i took the car out tonight and i noticed the sidelights wont turn off straight away off the dial, takes 10 seconds or so?? any ideas what it may be? cheers.

Do you have the error cancelling modules with that kit?

I had some on mine, and my sidelights stayed on for a few seconds when I turned the switch off.

I removed the cancelling modules, and they now turn off straight away. I don't have any bulb warnings either, so maybe they were unnecessary anyway.

I guess those error cancellers are just fancy resistors?

The kid did come with them but I didn't bother fitting them as the car hasn't got DIS so doesn't throw up bulb warnings.
