Remote Key Fob

Hi, Is there any way of testing the remote Key Fob independantly to help isolate wear the problem is?

Remote key fob doesn't work on my sisters A4 and only has one key, so I will try to re-synch it using Vag-Com, just wanted to know if there was anyway of testing the remote.

Did you try sync'ing it like I said in the other thread?

Not yet waiting for my sister to pop round, incase that doesn't work just wondered if there was a way of testing just the key-fob to determine if it was working.
