Engine fault code.... pd 130

17994 - Engine Mount Solenoid Valves (N144/N145): Short to Plus
P1586 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

Anybody know what this is or how to fix it?

One (or maybe two? I'm not sure on the 1.9) engine mounts is a hydraulic engine mount, controlled by an electric solenoid. That means there is an intermittent fault with it, it might be the mount, or it could be the wiring.

Turkster had a thread running on this within the last month or so.

There is no knocking sound comming from the mounts

Have always had the code on mine, no obvious signs, seems to be very common

Mines the same too, its pretty common.

I doubt they'll knock like a conventional mount, its more a case of possibly feeling more harshness in the vibrations of the engine, although I can't tell with mine in honesty.
