What Pad Recommendation

I'm looking to change the disc's and pad's on my 1.8T (190) and i'm thinking of going for a different make of pad . I have alway's used OEM pad's since ownership .

Is there any real differences between OEM and other market leaders.

The general consensus in the 8L section is Ferodo DS2500. I rate them!
