Brown sludge 1.9 tdi

In the header tank and coolant level was low. Should I be worried about the head gasket? Cars done 110k miles

i had something similar to that in my old mk4 golf tdi's header tank, it was just after a service i noticed it, apparently it was different types of coolant that were mixed together and had a reaction which caused the brownlooking stuff

a good flush and proper coolant used and it was sorted, hope you get yours sorted out

I think when the head goes its more a creamy colour. Mate does it smell of oil

someone has mixed the coolant's,
Drain and flush, refill with G12++

I see. Thanks. Think I do have a leak though as level keeps dropping. Oil is ok and not emulsified
