Rocker cover removal

Evening gents

When removing the rocker cover, how do you get the bolts out of the rubber end? Didn't want to just pull at them if there was a proper way.

What engine ? 1.8t rocker cover is easy just take your time..

Once Removed.

Time to have a Play with a splash of colour using VHT paint and a hot hair gun

sorry should have said. 1.9 tdi. the bolts when unscrewed have a rubber sheath at the end.
