B6 Steering creaking

When approaching almost full lock I can hear creaking from somewhere....sounds daft I know

In normal town driving no noise..but only when I am doing slow maneuvers...any ideas wher ethis noise is coming from folks ?

It could be your front suspension arm ball joints, get them checked out, have changed many for creaking on steering, mostly seems to be the lower ones that creak.

Cheers....I had an advisory on the MOT for one of the front suspension arms...may well get those ball joints checke when it goes in to be fixed......does it mean the ball joints are knackered tho if they creak ?
