ive done a search but cant find any answers to my problem.

i need to remove my rear number plate as its starting to look a little tatty, its fixed with 2 plastic screws, now when i try to undo them with a screw driver, the screw twists slightly at the top end but feels as though the bottom does not, as though its stuck. now obviously i dont want to turn the screw too much as by doing this it may just snap !

any ideas ?

I'd just wind the screw till it snaps and then you can trim it off flush with the bodywork. Then stick the new plates and it avoids having to drill them.

snap it off
and stick it back on look better than haveing screws holding it on

think i will go with snapping the screws then putting back on with them sticky pads

thanks guys

try to stick a flat headed screw driver behind the number plate and pull it forward to create pressure on the screw then try to undo it.. I should come out then (Worked on the van at work :))

Or take the inside boot cover off and hold the plastic screw housing and then undo the screw
Or as everyone has said on here break it and stick the plate back on mate

I can't stand screwed on number plates. 3M DS tape does the job.
