Exclamation Air Con Compressor - Anyone able to fit it for me?

Anyone able to help? I need a new aircon compressor fitted near the gloucester area. I am willing to travel a little bit. Just thought someone might be able to help on here before i shell out 650 for a new one fitted.

    Thanks.

if i remember rightly they are only held on by 2 or 3 bolts at the front of the engine, you will need a re gas after wards, you can get 2nd hand pumps on ebay for a few pennys and you can fit it yourself, just like an alternator,

Apparently you need to fit a new drier too and also will need flushing and regassing.

So the belt that drives this and the alternator on the TDI is not also the timing belt then? How do you empty the system safely? Mine was regassed before they diagnosed the pump wasn't working!

This is the auxillary drive belt on the 1.9. You need a special machine to suck the old gas out and repressurise with with new.

Is there a safe way of removing the air con gas prior to taking the pump out? Mine was repressurised just before pump failed!!!
