Need some help if any one will oblige?

I want to change the full exhaust system on my S4 V8 to Milltek and have got quotes and was about to put my order in until one tuning specialist chirped up and said 'I doubt whether replacing the CATS will make much difference as Audi already put sports spec CATS on the S4'

Can anyone let me know if there is any difference and if so by how much bhp?

Seems a waste to pay £1200-1400 for something that won't give a significant amount more. I am however not 100% convinced by their comments. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif HELP!!

There's not really a definition of "sports" anything. i.e.g sports suspension, sports exhaust, sports styling, sports cats etc etc

The Milltek's allow more flow than the standards. If you wanna say they are therefore sport cats then that's fine but at the end of the day it's simply about a higher flow rate regardless of what you call them.

Here is a pic of the manufacturers website showing what just the exhaust can do

Bloke at Milltek reckoned on a 15-17bhp hike with a full system and 5-7 bhp with CAT back and that's taking into account the cars they have seen converted here and in the States.

Bearing in mind I'm trading up from 255 bhp S3 to 344 S4 straight away, another 5 bhp for CAT back will do in the short term just for the sound track. But like Dr. Jekyll, no doubt a re-map and sports CATs will need to be added in the none too distant future when the going gets slow. Or maybe a supercharger!!!! 500+ bhp I hear hah hah hah hah...... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile_smoking.gif
