    How should a 1.8t (163) feel?

I know it's never going to set the world on fire, but should it just be smooth acceleration or should I get a bit of a kick when the turbo cuts in.
This is my first turbo car so I'm not sure how it should drive.
    Any help/advice much appreciated.

    TIA,
    Alan

    Hi Alan h,

I also have the 163 and to be honest its not that quick and i'd say not as quick as my old 150bhp a4 but i just love the look of my avant. I'm thinking of getting a remap done as soon as someone recommends a place to me in the kent area

    Thanks Jolly

should be quite smooth tbh. It was never supposed to have a kick hence the very small blower.

The car should make progress well smoothly without fuss into licence losing territory

Thanks for the replies guys. I was starting to think it wasn't working properly.

I've already considered a re-map. But there are so many companies offering this service...varying between 200 and 400, which is the best one to go for?

    Any recommendations?

    TIA,

    Alan

I've had a look at the figures from remaps and they are impressive. Big bang for the buck.......

Nearly 200bhp and shed loads of torque. This is definitely the next investment.....

I had my 1.8T remapped to make it a little more lively, and the difference was great. Book it in somewhere for a remap
