Black Votex GmbH Bonnet Grill

My black Votex bonnet grill has arrived, so I wasted no time in transferring the Quattro badge over and fitting it.

Do you think it looks better than the standard slatted one with the chrome surround?

It was £85 from ebay. The guy Chris also has a rear bumper Votex valance (New, genuine GmbH) with the twin exhaust inserts if anyone is interested? (Nothing to do with me btw in case anyone suggests it)

Looks good. I'm not sure it's "better than the standard one" but it certainly suits your car with the Votex mesh, looks very original!

I had problems fitting the Audi rings flush flat to the grille for some reason?

I had to manipulate the whole grill to get the top row of clips onto the bonnet to begin with, but the audi rings went on nice and easy with the aid of a screwdriver to ease the plastic tangs back behind the grill.


Johny5- Yeh I kinda know it sucks dude . The aim is to try and keep it subtle, but don't know if the custom dual 4" pipes are gonna keep that look going? Time will tell.

I couldn't source a votex one myself (having just got hold of full votex bumpers and side skirts) but I did come across a honeycomb grill with the audi logo fixing. You can see from the pic that it does have a vertical metal strip to which the loco base is attached. I suspect the logo base is original but the grill needs to be screwed to the bonnet rather than by using any existing clips. I haven't done this yet as I'm likely wait until I get the full kit on. Quality looks OK though:

Thanks, I've seen that one before and it seems based on the Caractere grill. I really want the Votex one but I've heard it's discontinued and very hard to get now these days. So if anyone can somehow get their hands on one let me know
