Splash Of Colour.

At the moment my 1.8t cam cover look's like this.

20 hour's of polishing for AITP




Now i bought a cam cover to have a play with it did look like this


Now look's like this..



Now should i stick with the polished cam cover or stick on this red one and paint the inlet manifold to match..

At alot of the show's this year a few Audi's had wrinkle paint cam cover's, so i thought i would try for myself. I was told after applying the vht paint stick the cam in the oven lol. I did use a heat gun which helped get the wrinkle effect.. I'm still in two mind's

Not too sure on the wrinkle look myself! Like the polished one as it looks nice a clean and tidy. What did you use to polish it with ?

I just used metal polish and wire wool total cost £7. I used fine wire wool to Finnish

By metal polish - do u mean something like Solvol Autosol??

Yes. You have to take the cam cover off (or have a spare).

I quite like the red, but it would look better in a gloss finish imho.
