Auto light switch, can somebody compare part numbers?

Hi all, I have been reading up on this guide..

The guide says P/N: 8E0 941 531 B for the switch and i have found 8E0 941 531 D 01D

Can anybody let me know if these are cross compatible, and if so if theres any differences. I dont have access to any kind of parts lookup system

For part number checks get yourself a copy of ETKA - it's out there and freely available if you need a quick response!!

From Illustration 941-55:
Version D switch is a much newer one for VIN numbers 8E5-400 001 onwards, (Jan 2005>>)

Compatibility wise, you would need to check the wiring diagrams pin for pin on the switch.

The "01D" would normally be a colour coding ident.
All the above swicthes came in black (soul) so have "5PR" after the part number.

Afraid not - ETKA is pure Parts as used by the dealers.

For "Maintenance, Wiring, etc." - I personally use the Bentley DVD - "Audi A4/ S4 Rerpair Manual: 2002 > 2007" - it's a US product (~£50 when I bought it) - but tells me all I need. Will not run on Windows 7 x64 - running it under Windows XP as a Virtual PC on my WIndows 7 x64 install.
