No noise from my alarm - 2.5 TDi Sport Cabriolet.

Can anyone tell me if there is a switch to activate my alarm siren. I have no noise coming from it but the hazards do flash. I know this cause i jacked it up when it was set. I have only had car 3 weeks. Thanks in advance..... your all great on here.
