Headlights in europe

Thought there might have been a thread on this, searched could not find one.

I am going to Germany in August, so I need to change the head lights over for the other side of the road, how can this be done, manual says take a trip to the Dealer, which would be real stupid if they had to do it for me there and then and then I have to drive around here in UK for a few days etc. nothing would surprise me though

Nope mate, just set the lights to tourist setting in adaptations in 55 iirc, it just lowers the beam, no dealer needed.

Give me a shout or I will shout you tomorrow & we can have a play with setting mate whilst I scan, sorry forgot today fella.

Nah mate, I did this when I did my Italy trip last year, tbh fella it was absolutely fine all the time in Italy, it does show an error when you start the car but thats only cause its set for tourist, but goes as soon as you swap back.

Yes vagcom for xenons, but halogens have a metal lever iirc.
