S Line front end conversion - 5 door bumper on a 3 door???

Hi all,

I know this topic has been talked about alot on here but im looking at putting an 06 s line front bumper onto an 04 plate A3 and was just wondering if anyone knows if a bumper of a 5 door (or sportback) will fit onto a 3 door?

The fronts are the same, only the backs are different

as he says 3door and 5 door cars are the same for wings bonnet and bumper

I ask because I recently bought an 06 s line bumper off ebay and when I have come to check the part number it differs from the one Audi have given me for a 3 door model so I am thinking the one I have bought is off a 5 door. My car is a 3 door so I wanted to be sure it would fit before I have it resprayed, I was going to do a 'mock-up' this wkend to see if it would fit but I think you have just saved me a job!

you see the grille... i have a black optics grille in mine and i am going to the saem thing, would my grille off my 55 reg a3 fit straight into the 06>onwards bumper? thanks
