Does anyone know the labour time to do a turbo on a A3 TDi quattro? I had my turbo replaced and the garage charged me 9 hours labour as they said it was an engine out job because the car is a quattro and they couldnt get to the turbo in the regular manner because the 4x4 bits are in the way. The only trouble is the warranty company are only willing to contribute 2.5 hours which leaves me out of pocket?

the warranty company are right it should take about 2-3 hours. Removing the quattro prop shft is not a big job, few bolts on each end.

sounds like you were ripped-off with the labour mate. prop shaft a doddle to remove! 3 hours tops!

I agree, me and a mate did the clutch and flywheel in 4 hrs on my S3 !!

No need to remove the engine to get at the turbo. Who ever you went to are taking the **** mate.
