Offset on 18s

Hi,

I am looking to get some 8x18s with 225/40 tyres, the ones I am looking at have an offset of et45, is that offset the best choice considering I am planning on dropping it 30mm after I fit the wheels?

Model is a 2005 A3 3.2.

Yep.
I have the same alloy specs on mine and its lowered 60mm on Eibach springs...only thing I needed to do was remove the rear arch screw.

Ok, so it has changed slightly, I am now looking at a set with offset of et42, will this also be ok still do you reckon?

yep should be fine, only 3mm difference
