Thread: warning symbol???

got a warning symbol on my dash! its yellow and its got an '' ! '' in the middle with a circle around it like a recycling circle if you know what i mean, like its not a full circle... and its got a small arrow at one end of the circle!

does anyone know what that means?

Symbol is the ESP (Traction Control) light. Press the ESP button to make the light go away!

lol now to solve my other problem jbO0, lol i just finisheed my facelift conversion and now my bonnet wont close. it wont lock shut. is it due to the fact that the bonnet latch on an 04 and an 06 bonnet is shorter/longer that the other?

Strange one that buddy.

For the conversion you need a new bonnet, one from a big grille A3, but as far as I'm aware the bonnet should still close.

As you can see from this picture on Lee_R's guide, his bonnet is locked:



The only thing I could suggest is maybe having a look at the catch, making sure it hasn't accidentally locked itself.

If it has been locked with the bonnet up, there should be a lever or something you can do to unlock it without too much chew.

aw i got it sorted lad! i went out and realised that one of the screws for the bumper wasnt tight and was holding the bonnet up! ill know for future!
