Hi , just been looking through the MY11 brochure and something new that i've noticed in the back is the comprehensive service package . It works like this ! For the 3 year - 3 service / 30,000 mile package they will charge you £25 a month = £900 over the three years for the first 3 services . Or , you can go for the 5 year - 5 service / 50,000 mile package which they charge you £35 a month = £2100 over the 5 years . Am i being a bit of a  or am i missing something really obvious . i emailed a local dealer for service costs for my ordered sportback 2.0Tdi for the first three years and these are the quotes that they came back with . Year 1 - £121 , year 2 - £211 and year 3 £316 on the fixed service scheme . By my maths this works out at £648 or £18 a month over 3 years . Why on earth would i want to pay them £25 + interest per month ??? I don't know where the 5 year , £35 a month comes from but by my reckoning , just to brake even the servicing costs for services 4,5 and 6 would have to average out £484 per service - why do Audi do this ???

Think that the monthly payments are for 12 months only, the is a * next to it with some small print somewhere...

I didnt own my car at the first service but service 2 and 3 were £700 each. I suspect that the quotes you have are + parts + vat etc. My local dealership charges £160 an hour and a 5ltr can of oil is £100 so you aint going to get much done for year 1 at £121 !!

You need to take this up with the salesman and watch him squirm, dont forget most Audi customers wouldn't know where the engine was and are not going to question £30 a month or they wouldn't be buying an Audi. In short its a con....bit like buying a 3 year guarantee for £50 on that £20 radio you brought at comet :)

I have just signed up for a £260 for 2 year service deal inclusive of picking my car up and delivering it back to me at audi maccelsfield , they said the only started it last monday .
I had picked my car up brand new the friday before . ., and they had not started it then , dont know if its a dealer thing or an audi promotion ??????
But im happy with the price + £130 per year :)

The quotes that they sent me are for 1,2 and 3 and they include parts / labour and vat . Service 2 it says includes pollen filter and service 3 includes fuel filter and brake fluid change . I would be interested to hear what others have been paying for the same service . Mojo555 , must admit didn't see the * , so i'll now check it out , thanks .

Redleg , seems like a great deal . Is this cash up front and i wonder if this a deal throughout the dealerships or exclusive to Macclesfield Audi .

Just checked , doesn't mention anywhere that i can see about 12 months only . * is refering to 'fixed service schedule' only .

they are part of the inchcape group so maybe its a groupwide thing to get extra work ???
You can either pay cash up front or monthly payments

That's interesting as i'm getting my car from inchcape Bolton , but unfortuanately live too far away to get the car serviced there .

The 5th or 5 year service will have to include the cambelt change, so there's £800 gone on its own, so it does add up although after 3 years why you'd still want to pay Audi rates is another matter, total rip off on both labour and overpriced parts they don't even make themselves

I can see your point Andy , but i have taken out the extra 2 years warranty to take it up to 5 years for piece of mind so i guess i'd have to carry on getting it serviced at a main dealer . I thought that Audi website advertises cam belt change at £349 !

My mate has just paid approx £300 for the cam belt on a 56 reg TT 2.0

Audi main dealer servicing is an absolute rip off. AS well as charging way over the odds your car will likely be serviced by some 16 year old chump who will treat your pride and joy like dirt and have very little competence.

I would much rather take my car to a specialist who I trust and that I know will service and treat my car well.
