Rip in vinyl arm rest

Anyone know if there is a way to do an invisible repair or replace just the vinyl on my door armrest? Asked Audi who said I would need a new door. Car is nearly 5 years old, but thinking of selling it privately now and would like to get this sorted first.

I had a go at using some leather/vinyl glue, but it just comes apart after a while due to the movement in the padding.
