i need a new slip ring to fit my s line steering wheel and have been told by someone on here that the one i need is
1ko 959 653 d, ive found someone selling a slip ring with the part number 1ko 959 653 c. will this work? the seller says its for a multifunction steering wheel and mine isnt.

presume you are fitting a flat bottom wheel without multifunction?

The one with suffix 'c' is for a two door car whereas suffix 'd' is a later version for two and four door car.

It is also useful to know your chassis number and steering ecu number to be certain

where do i find the steering ecu number? also, whats the difference going to be between them?

you find it under the steering wheel, panel off and read it. however if youve vag com you can also check the p/n i belive
