Removing aircon to remove phone cradle

I'm wanting to remove the phone cradle that came with my car - it's the wrong cradle for my phone and I'm happy using my phone just on bluetooth anyway. The cradle is attached behind the aircon - is there a guide anywhere to remove the aircon so I can get at the cradle fixings? Is it a matter of removing the stereo first?

I assume removing the cradle won't affect the functioning of the actual bluetooth unit (Parrot CK3100) in any way?

you hav eto remove HU first with keys. then you can pull put the climate control out easily

Both my A3 & A4 you just pull the aircon out towards you quite hard & it just pops out. No keys needed
