hey guys,

I've got a 2005 sportback and have been playing with my VCDS on the DRL settings and i can enable the DRL on either the headlights or the fog lights...

what i wanted to know is there any way to enable it on just the sidelights?

I currently have the standard headlights on the car but was thinking of fitting an aftermarket set that has A4 style LED DRL sidelights...

thanks in advance guys

ps. i have already read the discussions' about not fitting these as they dont look good but i like the way it looks

Just a thought - what about enabling foglights as DRL's ( sidelights come on as well ) and then unticking the box that tells the car whether or not it's got foglights. The car might get a bit confused but it's easy to try !

but by doing that i will loose the fogs.. not something i want to do
looking for more of a just sidelight option keeping everything else intact

yh lets see if he comes in here and shares some wisdom.

if just the sidelights can't be turned on as DRL maybe if i could leave the light switch set to sidelights and somehow disable the car from sending power to it when the engine is switched off.. and also disable the car from screaming when i open the drivers door, but leave the scream if its set to headlights? (hope that made sense)

just a thought...
