Can anyone confirm how you identify 'cylinder 3'?

Is it from left to right 1, 2, 3, 4 if your looking from the front of the car?

Or is it identified by firing order?

Let me know ASAP any of the Audi tuning/workshop bods plz! Got it all apart for new injector, just need 100% confirmation

Cylinder numbering generally starts furthest from the clutch. I assume you have a four cylinder and that the engine is transverse mounted. In that case number 1 will be on the LHS when standing at the front of the car looking at the engine.

Cool mate thanks, thats what I thought.

On the diagnostics it listed 'cylinder 3' as having a fault, didnt know if it would do it the typical 1, 2, 3, 4 from cambelt, or cyliner 3 in firing order.
