    Wheel Nuts/Studs..

Need some advice on replacing some wheel nuts on my A3. If i go to a breakers yard and ask for some wheel nuts - aslong as they are the same size as the ones im replacing i should be ok irrespective of what car they have come off?

nope. the thread length, pattern and diameter differs, and can have tapered or cone heads.

The nuts im replacing are locking nuts ( i couldnt get them off over weekend so im replacing them with normal standard nuts)

Im gonna see if they have identical ones and go from there??

Just go on ebay as there are loads of companies that sale cheap locking nuts for your car from 7 delivered upwards.

Thats why you should put some copper grease on the thread of the nuts so they don`t rust in. I have several sets of standard nuts laying around if you want some.
