Cooling off period for car order - Return of Deposit

Is there a cooling off period for the order of a car?? and can you get your deposot back in that time?

I put mine down on this thursday, but now need to cancel to pay for work on my current car, so can I get it back or is the £1000 lost?

I'll do doubt get it N8, but really need that 1K now to repair my car, just neeed to know where I stand legally really. I can order the S3 again further down the line.

Legally you cannot get it back as far as I am aware, but some Audi Dealers do give it back, you need to ask.

have you tried asking them??? Would seem the logical way to find out if you can or not...
Did they give you any paperwork? Does it say on there?

You should be able to get it back..it's only been a week.

Legally if you check the small print of the agreement you signed it will say that you commit to buy the car and Audi commit to sell you the car (although there are opt outs for Audi!!). Just be honest and upfront with the dealer as soon as possible. With the deal only having been done Thursday I'm sure they will apply some sort of goodwill, tell them you hope to re-order later on in the year. Good Luck
