later s line wheel on sport, airbag wont plug in

as above basicaly, just bought a s l,ine steering wheel and the airbag doesnt plug in to my car, im guessing i need to change the ring it goes into, just want to make sure before i touch anything, also how much are these?

there are 2 types of s line steering wheel.
i know because i bought the wrong one first time around.

look at your origional wheel and your new one side by side
one of the wheels has 2 pins which the airbag seats onto

my car had the pins so i needed the s line wheel from a later car 2007

how much did you pay for it

There are 2 airbag systems. single stage and 2 stage. You need to match an early single stage 2pin system with an early wheel pre 2007. A 2 stage system will fit but not work in a crash . If your car is after 2007 you need a 2 stage airbag for the system to work ie: 4 wires. I know because i nearly made the same mistake on my 2007 SB.

I have the correct loom and slip ring for a dual stage airbag if you want it. PM me. The single stage will 100% not fit as I had the exact same problem.
