The quality of the Chinese headlights can actually be very impressive, on par with OEM stuff. Im basing this on experience with a BMW where I got some projector style lamps for my M Coupe, the quality of the plastics is on par with the OEM headlights, everything was plug and play even down the to the eletric height adjustment motor. 2 years on and the lenses are still very good.
However the LED DRLs just don't do it for me at all, they look awful IMO and will look even more awful now people are retrofitting them to old cars. They are something that really spoil the R8s I see on the road. If you need by new legislation to have a daylight running light why don't they just stick the dipped lights on!! I actually prefer the older DRLs with normal bulbs but even with those I would still argue that a dipped healight makes more sense!
