Got to love the fabled "German Build Quality"

My radiator is leaking and needs replacing, does anyone know what is involved with replacing one on the A3? how much needs to be stripped off the front of the car? just the bumper and crashbar or does the whole plastic framework behind need to be removed also? Just so I have some idea of how much time I should put aside for the job.

Slightly narked as the dealer I bought it from is suggesting it's a wear and tear part and not covered by thier warranty, the radiator in my Mk3 Cortina doesnt leak, it's only 38 years old.

It`s a big job mate. Air con radiator, intercooler and engine radiator are all bolted together into one unit so basically the whole of the font of the car has to be removed to get to it.

You just told me the exact news I didn't want to hear, I did the same on my girlfriends Mini Cooper S when she was away at uni, I fixed it at the roadside with a £10 socket set and some kitchen utensils, lol.
