Dipstick

silly question - will any other Audi dipstick fit the A3?
I find it difficult to see the correct level with mine as there is oil on the bottom ball (min) and some on the top ball (max) but nothing on the flat section in the middle? can i fit a proper flat dipstick from any other vag?

The oil on the top is probably when your taking it out. I must admit its pretty crap indicator, black stick in black oil :s

yep - can't tell how high/ low the level really is

Were you between odsal top and wike yesterday around 11ish? pulled into shell petrol station at baliff bridge? i was in front of a silver A3 with black grille and tinted lights, couldn't make out the reg number (i was in a white van)
